Somotsoft collaborates with Fordham University to showcase US-Vietnamese technology project collaboration
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK, HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM (December 5, 2006) Shoshana Dobrow, PhD, a management professor at Fordham University developed and presented a multimedia global business organization case on Somotsoft and the technology development opportunities in Vietnam. The case highlighted the opportunities for American entrepreneurs in Vietnam despite the differences in culture, time zone and infrastructure. Somotsoft provided material to enable business students to evaluate the technology background, communication competency and work culture of Somotsoft-Vietnam. Dr. Dobrow examined key components of Somotsoft strategy and operations including:
Utilizing advanced technology experience in Vietnam.
Leveraging US and Vietnamese work culture for improved service results.
Strengthening US-Vietnamese client communication.
Technology innovation strategy.
Leveraging labor cost arbitrage for global business opportunities.
The timing of the case coincided with President George W. Bush's historic visit to Vietnam as part of APEC conference. Vietnam is scheduled to join the World Trade Organization (WTO) in early 2007.
